2021 has been the year when music touring stopped (again!) and where live gigs were limited to the local Creswick market (between lockdowns). A new repertoire was needed and I've always loved soul music. This started out as a gift for Judy (hence the title) but now it's a free download for all our friends. One man, one 1971 Martin New Yorker guitar tuned in DADGAD, one RODE condenser mic, a couple of harmony lines, but otherwise no overdubs (apart from the ocean on one track). Partly inspired by the guitar and vocal recordings of Luiz Bonfa (Live in Rio 1959, search on Spotify), where the guitar sound is so full and the playing so marvellous.
